And there you have it 🙂

7 Months — Already?

Wow – our littlest little (Blaker as he is affectionately known as by his big  brother) is 7 months old. That’s right. I said 7 months! I know, it’s so cliche to say – but this is going way too fast.

Stats: I don’t have official stats for you.  He has definitely added more length but I’m not sure he’s added all that much weight 🙂

This has turned around significantly in the last few weeks! Blake is now sleeping 12-13 hours a night and has been consistently for at least 2 weeks 🙂  He goes to bed around 7 (some nights earlier, but we try our hardest to make it 7) and doesn’t start the day until around 7am.  Most mornings I hear him start to stir around 6, but he’s definitely not ready to get up yet…and neither am I.

Naps are still on track – sometimes they get a little out of sorts because of our daily “to do” list.  But if we are home, it’s usually a nap at 9am (lasting 1-2 hours) and then another nap at 1pm, after lunch and playtime.  The afternoon nap is typically 2-3 hours, give or take 30 minutes.

Things are still going very well with eating.  In the last month, I’ve added: peas, mangos, peaches, blueberries and mixed grains.  Next up is the protein – my biggest struggle with Drew. I resorted a lot to chickpeas because I couldn’t get chicken/turkey into something that the texture didn’t bother him.  I’ll probably also mix in some yogurt near the 8 month mark.

We have TWO!! Just in the last month, we’ve had 2 bottom teeth poke through.  They are coming in painfully slow, but our little trooper is handling this very well.  I finally gave him Tylenol last night because he just couldn’t get settled to sleep and was sucking his hand something fierce.

This kid wants to walk so badly, that I’m almost positive we will skip the crawling with him too 😦  Drew walked at 9 1/2 months and never crawled.  All the better for me I guess, because I’m the one cleaning the floors! We are in the midst of renovating our basement to include a playroom – I can’t wait!!

He is babbling much more “put together” words in the last week. He’s not far off  “Ma-ma” and I can’t wait.

Next Up

Working on the crawl, more teeth and more fun!

A few photos from a recent “photoshoot” 🙂 Love these boys!
